Avoid MASUCH LAW for Real Estate Transactions — A Nightmare Experience Caution When Considering MASUCH LAW for Real Estate Transactions Our experience with MUSUCH LAW was unfortunately marked by repeated delays, errors, and a lack of clear communication throughout our home-buying process. Delayed communication: We were told to expect important information regarding our file on September 5th but did not receive it until September 10th—only two days before our signing appointment. The eventual correspondence was a generic template that failed to address our specific questions. Errors in legal documents: At our signing on September 12th, multiple financial figures were incorrect and had to be manually corrected and initialed—unacceptable for legal documentation. We never received finalized copies of these documents in our closing package, including the revised Statement of Adjustments, where another issue occurred. Lack of guidance and follow-up: After the firm received payment, communication deteriorated further. A property tax issue with the seller went unnoticed, and we received no proactive guidance or support and had to do the 'leg-work' ourselves to ensure that it was handled correctly and that the firm was aware that this had happened. Significant financial oversight: Nearly a month after possession, MUSUCH LAW advised that they had misdirected funds that should have been deposited into the trust account for the payment of Title Insurance as they were reviewing the WRONG statement of Adjustments. Our real estate agent, who has over 25 years of experience in the Calgary market, described this as one of the most poorly managed files she has encountered. Buying a home is already a complex and stressful process, and this firm did not make it any easier. For professionalism, accuracy, and peace of mind, we recommend considering other legal representation.
