This is such a hidden gem just a few blocks from the hustle and bustle of all the big name stores on Michigan Ave. This store has always been a favorite of mine, but also felt a little "stuck" behind the times. This store has been around forever (think business suits of the 80s). I walked by the other day and WOW, Mary Walter got a GLOW UP! The owners (Cameron and Erin) were there and filled me in on all their upgrades lately: new paint, new floors, new layout! Now the amazing clothing matches the aesthetic! Now you look AND FEEL like the upscale store you are! Bravo guys! Your store looks incredible! (And deserves this updated review!)

This is a fraud vendor who exhibits beautiful clothes by stealing pictures of other vendors & not their own to entice customers to buy & when customer place an order, they ship you totally different cheap material that’s not worth even 1/10 of it’s value . I bought 3 dresses for $150 & I have experienced this first hand. They don’t have any phone number to reach them & they don’t really to their emails hoping you will get tired of writing to them & will give up. They should be shut down immediately. Don’t be fooled by the beautiful designer cloths they exhibit for low prices. They are cheap goods for very very very high prices.

Mary Walter is a gem of a store. Great clothes with wonderful personal service. The owners know their fashionable merchandise and how to put it together (or will leave you to do your own thing if you prefer). I always walk out excited about my new clothes and feeling great about the interactions with the owners. Shopping at Mary Walter is a great experience and I get to enjoy their good quality clothes for a long time.

Though I no longer live in Chicago, Mary Walter’s is the first place I go when I return. Erin and Cameron are so helpful and do such an excellent job in choosing special items for the shop that you can’t find anywhere else. The items I’ve purchased there are consistently the pieces I wear frequently and reach for on a regular basis. Chicago is so lucky to have such a wonderful store!
