Recently visited Kamatchi Restaurant but had a disappointing experience. Tried their parotta combo, mutton kari dosai, and chicken biryani — unfortunately, none of the dishes met expectations. The food lacked flavor and freshness, and overall, it wasn’t a satisfying meal. Given the hype around this place, the experience fell short. Wouldn’t recommend based on this visit.

The chicken biryani was amazing with lots of flavours and spices, Though the pieces were small, the proportion is a lot for a single person. The prawn kamatchi was superb with egg in it. The chicken platter was average. The place is crowded during the weekend, so service can be a little delayed. Overall recommended!

All hpye !!! Went here seeing the reviews .. we ordered for a fish thali for 2 of us. Got king fish fry and fish curry with rice. Ordered for prawns fry. Prawns were yummy. Quite expensive place . The bill for two was 1800 rupees !!! Not worth that price !!

One of the best Non veg restaurants in white town, puducherry. We visited for lunch and tasted the following 1. Chicken 65 biryani 2. Chicken kamatchi 3. Malli chicken 65 4. Mutton kolla 5. Chicken karandi omelette 6. Chicken perattalsatham 7. Elanner payasam 8. Madurai Jigarthanda Chicken 65 biryani was so flavourful and delicious and tasted similarly to dindigul style biriyani. Chicken 65 pieces in biriyani were quite hard. Chicken kamatchi is their signature dish Malli chicken 65 was delicious and crispy Chicken karandi omelette and chicken perattalsatham definitely a must try. Mutton kolla could have fried crispy and the stuffing has less flavours. Elanner payasam was smooth and refreshing Jigarthanda was good, sugar content could have been less. For finishing do get half white rice and rasam. Do check them out.
