Customer experiences
My 5th grader did Biz Town here. It was an amazing experience! I was so impressed at how they have the building set up and the software they use. If you are looking for a non-profit that really delivers real world experience and helps kids prepare for life outside of school, this is your place! Your donations will go to an amazing cause and help kids learn what working for money and financial budgeting is like.
What a fun experience for all the kids involved. Everyone was kept busy with tasks and by the end of the day felt like they had accomplished something.
This is a fantastic idea for developing young minds. I would argue that a day here is worth more than a week in some classrooms. Classroom teaching is highly beneficial, not to be mistaken, it is simply important to have exposure to gatherings like this. Volunteering is very rewarding and the educators (teachers and such) enjoy the break!
Our last experience in Biztown was not a pleasant one. During our visit there were two schools at the same time. We were excited to go and did have some fun. But, our teachers were volunteering and did their best to help us. The kids from the other school were misbehaving, while we played along with the rules. The employees/workers there where not helpful when we asked questions or were confused about the directions. Our principle tried to explain that us kids did our best. Biztown still accused us of misbehaving, when we were doing the best of our ability. As a school filled with many minorities, students from different ethnicities, culture, and religions, we felt discriminated, unwanted, and disrespected when they told us to never come back.
