Update March 2, 2025: Jim and Angie are simply the best! We have been so happy with our garage door installed in June 2023. Then today someone accidentally backed into the door and it came off the tracks and could not be closed. The security of our garage and house were in jeopardy along with the potential for the door to fall and hurt someone. Jim and Angie responded immediately (on a Sunday!) and drove all the way to North Vancouver to fix it for us. It was really very tricky and only possible with their expertise and experience. Thankfully the damage was minimal and the door is working perfectly again. Thank you both so much - we are so grateful for your kindness in doing this on your day off along with the skill and expertise! June 2023: I could not be happier with the outstanding service and expertise provided by Angie, Jim and Troy of J.Mac Garage Doors. We had an old garage door that needed replacement and I am very grateful that my neighbours, who have a beautiful garage door, highly recommended J.Mac. Angie coordinated everything and spent so much time providing information and giving great advice. Jim came to do a site-visit, take measurements, assess our needs and also provided excellent information and advice. Jim and Troy provided efficient / expert installation and were super-nice guys to deal with. The installation looks perfect and the door operates very smoothly - such an improvement over the old door! We are very pleased with the quality of the Clopay door. We chose the Bridgeport door and we are very happy with it, but the colour/ finish looks different in person than we expected, due to images on the Clopay website. Because of the texture it looks quite variable depending on the reflection of light. I would highly recommend looking at actual photographs of doors or checking out garage doors in person before making a final choice - but this is just advice about this style of door and Clopay offers many different styles and colours. Now we just need to replace / update the old trim around the door and it will look great (see the before and after photos). We couldn't be happier with the service and installation from the team at J.Mac - thank you Angie, Jim and Troy!!

His friendly demeanor and swift diagnosis impressed me. Jim replaced all the broken rollers, provided thorough maintenance, and tightened the chain—all completed in under an hour. The cost, ranging between $200-$300, felt reasonable for the exceptional service. I'm truly satisfied and highly recommend J.Mac Garage Doors for their expertise and excellent customer care.

What a life-saver! Jim has been 3 times in the last couple of years for completely different issues. They fit you in when there is an urgent need. He comes prepared with the necessary parts, walks in, "glances at the door" and knows what needs to be done. He also gives the entire door a "check-up" and makes sure all else is ok. He is really knowledgeable. He is reliable and phones for a heads up with times when he is on his way. He has a great sense of humour and you enjoy his visit.
