Been a big fan of Johns Hopkins for the past 40 years. Cardiology, Dermatology, Physical Therapy, Diabeties Car just to name a few. As you can see, I have a lot of issues. Same great care at any of the satellite locations as the main Hospital. I stongly encourage you to take advantage of one of the top Hospitals/Medical Teams in the Nation!

They run a smooth operation but purposely book everyone super early so they can "get out early" - which would be fine if I was going to a miniature golf course and wasn't paying thousands of dollars and already emotionally drained . Feels a bit tacky for Johns Hopkins but honestly from my experience dealing with Hopkins is kind of par for the course. And why are you just not properly scheduling staff for regular hours? The receptionist seemed extremely flustered when I tried to change my time from 8am (on my one day off ) to 10. She told me that I was their "only patient that day"-which i knew was definitely not true.šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ But it's not her fault that the people running this place are putting the onus on staff - there should just be fixed hours - like my job doesn't just "let me go home" as a reward for booking all appointments super early. It's been such an issue for me that i am honestly looking to do my business elsewhere and telling my friends who go here too. I don't feel like coming in at 8 am on my day off because you want to leave early. Management really needs to do a better job. Imagine going to any other business and being treated this way? It's unacceptable.

I’ve had positive experiences here before, which was a shame. My partner and I went in for them to receive an internal ultrasound. They have anxiety and we had planned for me to come in and hold their hand. The staff abruptly told me I couldn’t come back. When I asked to go back (is it a safety issue? Policy issue?) the manager LIED TO MY FACE. She said my partner had decided they didn’t want me back there after all ā€œbecause it’s an internal exam and that didn’t feel comfortable.ā€ Shocking to me, because the patient is literally my spouse. I told her as much. Turns out that no one ever talked to my partner. This woman assumed that we were just friends, because queer couples apparently don’t exist to her. Everyone here was just okay with a patient going through an incredibly sensitive and invasive procedure without the support they need. These people are clueless about trauma-informed care. They saw me as someone causing them an inconvenience. It’s mostly that these people lied directly to me. That’s terrible precedent for providing medical care. 0% chance that we ever go back.

My four year old had her adenoids removed and tubes put in her ears at this location last Friday. From the time we checked in until the time we left, the nurses/staff/doctors were all fantastic. They spoke directly to her (not just to us) and let her make decisions about her care whenever possible, which made all the difference in the world in terms of making her comfortable. They placed her IV after they put her to sleep, which removed most of the anxiety she was feeling--she didn't even realize there had been a needle in her arm! The facility itself was very nice, and the family waiting room was fantastic--all kinds of neat toys and things to play with to distract my baby from her anxiety about the procedure. Having had 10 surgeries myself, I know that the treatment we received was top-notch. Thank you thank you thank you for all you did to make the day easier for all of us!
