Stayed for 2 nights. Location is excellent and plenty of delicious food nearby. There are several areas that need improvement. The room had a stale smell every time I entered. Cleanliness could also be better, as the room didn’t feel as fresh as expected. Lack of soundproofing, I can hear conversations in the corridor and even footsteps from the floor above. Additionally the body lotion was already empty on the first night. Disappointingly, it wasn’t refilled on the second day either, which show lack of attention to the detail. Overall, the location is a big plus, but better housekeeping and room cleanliness standards would make the stay more comfortable.

Pros: Clean rooms. Good staff. Comfortable bed. Good safety box. Good location Cons: Windy, cold pool made me uncomfortable and prevented me from enjoying the pool. Table tennis table is not in a good state. You can hear noise from outside. Not good sound insulation.

Backyard Xplorer

Nice hotel with nice international buffet, great selection of food. Rooms are well maintained. Location is central and most attractions like the upside down, food, glass museums and night markets are within 1km walking distance

Very nice hotel, perfectly located for exploring Georgetown. Pool table in the lobby is a nice touch. Rooms Well appointed with all the amenities you would expect in a high end hotel (including a bath). We had a room on the lounge floor that offered great views of the city. Lounge Very nice breakfast and canape offerings. Self pour drinks and delicious Malaysian dishes. You could very easily have a light dinner here. Breakfast Solid offering with varied Malaysian+ western food options. The egg station is very efficient. Pool Nice size for exercising and well laid out. Cold water dispenser available. Decent sized gym on the same floor with a nice addition of a sauna and steam room in changing rooms. Service As in keeping with what I have seen from Malaysia in general, service is very polite and attentive. Would definitely return to this hotel.
