The place to be for the classics! Husband and I have been going on breakfast dates on weekends without the kids for the past little while. What we do is open up Google map, search for “brunch” and “open now” and pick one from the list wherever we are at that moment. Today’s choice is again something we passed by many times but never actually went in at James Place Restaurant. We were seated promptly and been asked what we would like to order for drinks by a staff member before a server is available. My mocha coffee with maple syrup and cinnamon without cream or milk is very delicious and hubby’s hot coffee is bottomless as expected. Server took our order shortly after our drinks arrived and food was delivered very quickly. Despite that, we can tell everything is freshly prepared. We enjoyed every bite and had leftovers to bring home. We loved this place and will mark it for a place we can return for brunch. Thanks for serving us breakfast this morning! 🩷

We went to James Place in London around 10:30–11 for a late breakfast. The place wasn’t too busy at that time, just 2–3 tables occupied, which made it a nice and relaxed atmosphere. We ordered the veggie omelette and the house special. The veggie omelette was fresh and tasty, and the house special did not disappoint. I especially loved their sausages—so flavorful and perfectly cooked! Overall, great food, calm vibe, and we’ll definitely be going back again.

We are out of towners, my daughter just moved to the area for school. She has frequented the restaurant previously and recommended we try it. The first time there was last month, and it was pretty good. Overall food and service, we were pleased with. We love finding little, quaint diners. We just returned this past Saturday and boy what a different experience we had! Our scrambled eggs seemed like they were cooked in one lump sum and then chopped up with a knife into little bits, the home fries were hard, chewy and cold. We did mention this to the server, she was slightly rude in asking if we wanted something else. We were mostly finished the rest of our meals so no, we did not want anything else. When the bill came round, the home fries were still on there. No discount, and quite frankly not even an apology about the quality of the original home fries. We would definitely not recommend this diner at all.

I love James Place! It is my favorite breakfast joint in southwest Ontario. Best potatoes bar none. Treat yourself to the Benedict skillet, and add the cheese! I'll try to remember to take a picture next time, but I'm always so excited to eat, that I'm half way through my meal before I think to snap a picture. Keep up the delicious work you guys!
