We used Iowa Legends in the summer of 2023 to rebuild one of our decks. In February 2024 we contacted them to redo a second deck because they did a nice job on the first one, and they had records of the colors we used. We signed a contract and wrote a check for $7500 in early March 2024, which has obviously been cashed. My husband has reached out many times, always getting the run around. We were originally quoted Mid-May 2024 for a rebuild. Then someone died. Someone was murdered. Someone was fired. Maybe these things actually happened, but the bottom line is they've essentially been holding thousands of dollars hostage. It's November 2024 now, eight months after our check was cashed. I'm attaching a picture of what we were left with after they "demoed" about three weeks ago. We can't even step out onto the deck at this point. Two stars because the deck they did build was nice, but the last eight months dealing with this unscrupulous company have ensured we will never use them again.

I’m not sure why we didn’t receive the same service as everyone else but we sure didn’t. We came to Iowa Legends because of their reputation. We had an insurance claim for water damage to a downstairs bathroom. Aaron came out in December 2021 and looked at the project (as well as several other projects). We signed the estimate in early February (took that long to put it together) and patiently waited our turn. Early March, we were repeatedly told, “We’ll be out next week, it’s a 2-day job”, and nothing. March 15 they got started and sent a contractor they’ve never worked with before. It was a nightmare. Nothing was taped off so our entire house was filthy with drywall dust and the end product looks worse than it did to start with. It was a 4-day project and we reached out to Aaron several times by phone and text to explain how bad it was. Aaron repeatedly told us he would send his “best guy” out to fix it. More phone calls and texts and then we met with Garry in the office to express our concerns. More empty promises and here we are the end of May with no resolution. At this point, we’re done. We will find someone else to fix their mess. This process has been beyond stressful. The first pictures are the sloppy work, followed by the mess left behind. It’s worse in person. Definitely not quality work and their customer service is terrible.

Iowa Legends replaced my roof and I am very satisfied. Nick, the salesman, was extremely friendly, and was on top of the project during the installation. The roofers cleaned up and left no mess. I will consider them in the future.

Iowa Legends did a great job with siding our house. They were fast, cleaned up, and made sure we got exactly what we asked for. Glad to have them in Altoona!
