I used Intramar movers for my international move from Bogota to Buenos Aires in 2022. They were among the most expensive of the three movers that I used, but I used them as their quote seemed the most comprehensive. When it came time to do the actual move they were on time and did a decent job packaging everything. However, a couple of negative things happened on the backend so that I can’t recommend them, especially to Expats. We asked for full insurance, however, when I read through the contract I realized that they would only pay around 50-75% of the value of my items if they were damaged or the container fell off the boat. So, I had to go around and around with the company to increase the insurance - I volunteered to pay whatever to make sure my items were fully insured… Finally after weeks of back and forth they agreed if I paid more. However, once my items were unpacked, there was damage to several of the items. Realizing that it was going to be more trouble than it was worth to claim it all - I didn’t claim the broken glass wear and a few other items, however, there were two items that I purchased in Asia that I did want repaired. A Chinese bench/desk and a lamp. However, they refused to pay the full amount of the estimated repairs. For full disclosure, the total amount claimed was $500 (it was $150 for the repair of the lamp and $350 for the repair of the lacquer on the antique bench/desk). So, after spending around $30,000 on my international move, they refused to pay the $500 insurance claim to fix my damaged items. I just find this type of business practice dumbfounding and I just can’t recommend them. For context, this was my third international move, and the first time I’ve dealt with a denial to pay for a claim - especially when I had pictures from the day of the move and the day after the unpacking… and when I paid a pretty penny for the insurance. Anyway, I would not recommend Intramar - as if they wouldn’t pay my $500 claim, can you imagine how they would handle something bigger???

The worst!...They are not serious. The client for them is "something" with no value at all. We made bussines with them as a company and they make us lost money and time and don't gave any response for their responsabilities. Try with another transport-logistic operator.
