Insight Psychological is a standout organization in the mental health field. I have been fortunate enough to meet the owners of Insight Psychological and their dedication to creating a supportive environment for their clientele and their staff is truly inspiring. Their team of compassionate and skilled therapists offers a wide range of services, from individual counseling to family therapy and specialized support for anxiety, depression, and trauma. These kinds of services have been critical for the mental wellbeing of my family from time to time as a result I have a deep appreciation for the care offered by Insight knowing their mission is to ensure that each client feels supported by their tailored approach. The next time we need some professional support and guidance we will not hesitate to reach out to Insight to book with their team. If you value mental health and are looking for a trusted partner on your journey, I highly recommend Insight Psychological. Their commitment to high-quality, innovative psychological services is evident in everything they do.

It has been 8 months since we switched to a different office and psychologist. Our new councilor and office is way better. I feel the office is too big and the councilor we used wasnt commited to her job there. The scheduling and billing was always a challenge at Insight. Lots of appointments canceled and bills sent to the wrong email. Im not sure how much was the councilor and how much the admin. Pappers that needed to be sent to other doctors would require multiple follow-up. They would primarily default to communicate with my husband, even when i paid, and i needed paperwork.

Unfortunate experience at this clinic. Would advise not spending your money or using your benefits at this clinic. I will precede this review by saying that I saw a therapist at this clinic for almost 10 years and never had an issue and everything was great and she was an excellent therapist that I wish I could continue seeing for basically the rest of her career. However, I will never be giving my money or using my health benefits at this clinic moving forward, nor will I be seeing my therapist at this clinic due to how this clinic recently handled the situation with me and my partner. To begin with, I was seeing my individual counsellor for many years, and then they accepted me and my partner for couples counselling twice. Upon recently trying to book another session, we were told that a decision had to be made as to whether I was going to continue seeing my therapist individually or if we were going to see her as a couple, but there was no other option. I wish they would’ve told us when we first booked the first appointment as a couple that we wouldn’t be able to continue seeing her as a couple, because obviously I would have booked with a different therapist at that point, rather than trying to create an entirely new relationship with a therapist after already seeing her as a couple twice. I do understand now why they have to have those conflict of interest rules in place. But, I definitely think there should have been better communication upon booking those appointments of what the expectation was going to be moving forward. So, the whole reason we found this out was because my partner had booked an individual counselling session with this therapist, and one week after booking this appointment he was informed that he could not have this appointment due to conflict of interest. I do feel like they should have informed us sooner or should’ve had a system in place that would prevent that appointment being booked at all in the first place. It’s pretty obvious what the rules are, but we weren’t informed of them, so we had no idea until we were told an appointment was cancelled. Following this, our therapist suggested a few different therapists at the office that have a similar therapy style to her that we could book with. We chose one of those therapists, and again booked an appointment with a new therapist, since they had told us that he could not see our therapist individually. Two weeks later, after already having this appointment booked and already having booked time off work for it, they call us and tell us that this counsellor is no longer accepting new patients. This is now 2 separate appointments that were denied to someone seeking mental health help… and, these appointments were not cancelled immediately to give us time to book other appointments. They were cancelled well after they were booked, which is very confusing and very upsetting. This clinic and many clinics book weeks and months in advance, so it is not like we can just book another appointment within the same week when we are being told an appointment has been canceled. I fear that many people in much worse mental health states may end up facing similar road blocks from this clinic and want to warn others moving forward to hopefully not have to face this situation yourself. Take your mental health and your business elsewhere!
