If I could leave no stars I would. Employed Brian Horak to handle the purchase of my home and he was the most unprofessional lawyer I have had the misfortune to hire. Moved offices and didn’t change his letterhead so my papers being purolated from Ontario that had to be filed the next day went to the wrong address. He said he couldn’t get them from the other office as he left there on very bad terms. Then this year I want to set up my tax account, I find out that he screwed up that paperwork too and it all went back to the old office and he never had never followed up with the registry 8 months after moving here and my house wasn’t registered. He wouldn’t answer my calls or texts. I had to get my real estate agent to try and get ahold of him. He ignored her too. To this day he will not acknowledge my texts to him. He reads them but won’t answer me. Thankfully, my house is now registered but I haven’t received any of my paperwork regarding the purchase. Do Not Use this law firm

I engaged this firm on a probate matter. The firm took on the file. After months of not receiving any confirmation about the probate, I sent several emails (one approximately every two weeks) and tried calling, and couldn’t get a response or an update. After waiting more than five months, I requests the documents back. That’s when the firm confirmed they hadn’t done anything with the files. I felt this was unacceptable and that they should have returned the files much sooner if they weren’t able to perform the work instead of wasting half a year of my time. I would not recommend this firm based on the lack of responsiveness and customer experience.

Carolyn Grogan has shown herself to be a highly skilled and professional lawyer. She has been very accessible to me while handling my challenging custody case. In particular, she has helped me to understand the legal system and that, despite a custody dispute being an emotional process, the legal system is designed to protect the interests of my child. As such, she has helped keep me calm by making me feel that she is on my team and understands the nuance of my case. She is straightforward in her explanations of the law and doesn’t shy away from seeking a second opinion. I would strongly recommend her.

Cost me $2600.00 of my hard earned money to do the job myself. Was billed for reviewing and submitting court orders wrote by my exes lawyers, when I in fact was the one to review and point out the obvious mistakes, as well as having to redue the affidavit and other paperwork that "I" had to submit to the courts, do to them trying to file incorrect documents. Not to mention was pretty much told to rollover on what was being asked, which was not warranted, so ended up ending my contract do to very poor representation. Not to mention all the little errors on a few other pertinent issues in my case. So a big thank you for taking my money that could have gone to my daughter or gone to a lawyer who actually wanted to help. I had asked for Carolyn but did not get her, but got her highly recommended partner. COLLOSAL MISTAKE ON MY PART
