The lady at the front desk barely acknowledged us and was giggling at her phone when checking us in, asked for ID and told us the room was down the hall. That was it. The windows don’t open but still there are fruit flies and bugs in the room?? The room stunk like a mix of cleaning products and something rotten. Would’ve been nice to open a window .. We asked for an extra pillow which they said they don’t have any extras although the motel was not even half full. On our last day we asked to store our luggage for a few hours and they said they don’t have a space to do that. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Everyone else in this city has had amazing manners and hospitality and this place is ruining that reputation. Spend the extra money if you can to save yourself the $15-20 Uber into downtown everyday, and dealing with this

There was an infestation of roaches mainly in the bathroom, but everywhere else in the whole room. Everytime I walked in the bathroom there would be at least 2-3 roaches scattering around. One even attempted to crawl up my pants leg when I was on the toilet. I had to put on shoes everytime I went in the bathroom. A couple of days before checking out, the toilet flusher got stuck and wouldn’t flush so I had to take the top off and attempt to force flush it. First night there, there was no Wifi connection, but they fixed it the day after. The antenna to the TV was also giving me problems, but luckily I brought my gaming console. The roaches; people frequently yelling and arguing (I could hear everything they were saying from rooms away) and loud music at the crack of dawn. Also the doors slam when they close. Wakes me up out of my sleep having to hear all the commotion. On my checkout day as I was getting ready to leave the room, there was a woman yelling and screaming at the top of her lungs. She was arguing with some man about money. Me and my roommate heard the whole conversation and we were terrified to leave the room because it sounded like the argument was right at our door. She was cursing and everything. Whenever I would go outside to pick up food, there would be homeless people just standing around or walking back and forth looking at me. Weird.

The only good thing about this place is the room is big,they advertise that they have a pool,on booking.com it is a lie,and they charge you for pets motel 6 has never charged me a pet fee anywhere else so why in new Orleans? Do not stay here it is a dump and the lady that checked us in was rude and didn't want to answer any questions we asked about the area it is one in a half blocks from the 9th ward not very safe

We really enjoyed our stay at the 6!!! As 1st time guest at the 6 we will return!! The property was clean!! Our room was very clean!!! The water pressure was great !! The water was hot!! No pest issues!! Our towels were replaced everyday & we stay 3 nights. It was quiet!!! the check in & checkout process was easy! Nobody hanging out! The entry was hotel key only… doors very secure! Very mindful 😂👍🏾👍🏾 also came with a mini fridge & microwave
