Customer experiences
I believe this is one of the best hospitals in the region. From my experience everyone including the reception staff, nurses, doctors and even the public security officers were extremely helpful and caring. One of my colleagues had an emergency situation and the response was outstanding. The ambulance service arrived very quickly and by the time we reached the hospital everything was already arranged. The medical team immediately took the necessary actions without any delay. The professionalism, efficiency and kindness shown by the entire staff truly stood out. I highly recommend their services.
The pictures attached are how I found my husband's room today. I also want to bring your attention to several issues we have ran into with the staff. While in ICU nurse Jada refused to clean him when he soiled himself, nurse Yina had no patience for him and nurse Carmela was rude and basically ignored him. Nurse Brenda and Nog in the Alkek wing are a joke and really should choose a different profession. That being said said I want to let you know that nurses Stephanie G., Cristian, Ken,Kylie, Catherine, Eric, Kayla, and nurse aid Fabian all deserve not only a daisy nomination but also a huge thank you! Had it not been for his team of doctors and those eight wonderful people he would have died. Back to the room conditions, it is unacceptable for a hospital room to be that filthy, especially when the patient had been fighting a massive infection for almost 50 days.
I got hip surgery here and it was by far the best experience I could've asked for, everyone was so respectful and attentive! I loved the results of my surgery and everyone who helped me with anything was so kind! I would 100% recommend for people to come here if they want an amazing experience.
I am posting because I am so bewildered. My son was admitted with a stroke into a Methodist Hospital that specializes in heart and stroke care. We all know when you have a major medical event one of the first things your doctor says to use you have to change your diet. I walked in to find my son with the food cart next to him and what was he served for lunch a big plate of french fries topped off with a cheese quesadilla. He did not order this food it was ordered for him. He should have been on a heart diet but the doctor did not note that in his chart. With that said, how do you serve any patient a big plate of French fries topped off with a cheese quesadilla in any hospital let alone a heart and stroke facility! No better when you go to the cafeteria there's a big picture of a big juicy burger dripping with cheese and the menu items consist of chicken nuggets, fried chicken, burgers, pizza. Even the section that might be more healthy serving blackened fish comes with the side of mac and cheese. If your specialty is heart and stroke your food should reflect that you're serious. If there is an opening for nutritionist to make recommendations I would love that opportunity. This is appalling!
Houston Methodist Hospital is a general hospital.
