Shannon helped me get a scooter after the pandemic & then I needed a new walker & she said she's got some coming in etc she gave me an appointment to go sign paperwork & she said she overbooked & canceled my appointment & she said she'd call back with an appointment but nothing & today Aug 20 2025 Wed I got a call from ODSP saying am I in need of a walker i said oh yes this one I've got i got in April 2010 no parts avaliable at all so ODSP said she's sending the approval for the assessment right away & Shannon said she doesn't know when she's going to have any walkers go to Rexall! So ODSP called me back & I told her what Shannon said she said to wait to hear from the lady when she gets the assessment approval & the lady will advise me what to do next! I'm completely disgusted with what Shannon did! It almost feels like she didn't want to help me at all! I will NOT advise ANYONE to go through Guardian Pharmacy at First Place for ANYTHING not able to handle a job she took that deals with the public & handicapped people! Piss poor communication or proper help, but if you're lucky to talk to Shannon she hurries you through everything! Do not suggest anyone going there for their health aids needed to live! Completely & totally DISGUSTED! 😠🤬😡🤬😠😡🤬🤬

Some products r quality, however I fail to see how they justify charging $11.99 for Vit D & $13.99 for Melatonin when these products r almost half that in any grocery store. Unfortunately the senior tenants r sometimes only able to visit this pharmacy.

I am mortified with them. I have been with them for 10+yrs. I was recently released from hospital and needed my medication and was told yesterday Nov 9, 2022 that it would be delivered today Nov 10, 2022. It was NOT! I called and left a msg at 12:22pm and had no response so I call again at 3:33pm and spoke with a lady who said they had 3 out of 4 meds ready and were waiting for 1 more. I said well you could have delivered the ones you had since they were needed. I spoke with Patricia head pharmacist who had a bunch of excuses delivery way late today and actually waiting for 2 meds. I said so nobody called to tell me any of that? She said well I didn't get ur phone msg. I'm a client I should have been informed of late delivery and meds that were ready should have been delivered. Needless to say I'm done with them! Absolutely disgusted 😤 Please leave unless u want to have your blood sugar drop to 3.4 and have to rush back to the ER!!!

New to Hamilton and switched to First Place Guardian from the Toronto location. We've had nothing but problems, then never call when medication is ready or when they don't have any stock of it. Even after numerous requests. Then we find out that they are out of my husband's pain medication, after we called them 4 days after requesting the refill to find they are out of stock. This all happened on a Saturday 30 min before they close for the weekend. Staff always seem uninterested and unwilling to help. We now have to wait til Monday to switch pharmacies. How is it the patients responsibility to chase after the professionals to see if their meds are ready and the patients responsibility to find a pharmacy who has the medication they NEED when they didn't order accordingly.
