Customer experiences
Having a really pleasant experience so far. The staff and the pharmacist who helped me are so helpful and knowledgeable about my insurance coverage. They always follow up, and it’s easy to call them back - no long wait times. Really thankful!!
These are by far some of the stupidest people I’ve ever interacted with. I didn’t have my insurance card when filling a prescription, so I had to submit a claim… huge mistake. Every time I call they say it will be covered but that I have to submit the paperwork in a different fashion… then I have to add more receipts… then I have to physically send in a letter… then I have to fax them the info. Their whole outfit would seem like a fraud except that they have fulfilled some prescriptions of mine. Regardless, no one ever knows how to solve any problems there, they just point you to a different phone number or lead you on a wild goose chase. Their average rating across the entire country is below a 2/5… that in and of itself speaks volumes to the sophistication of this “company”.
Unbelievably unhelpful and unprofessional. As part of my employer’s group plan from Empire Life, I am required to get my ongoing prescriptions filled directly by Express Scripts, otherwise they won’t cover anything. Even though my benefits are already set up, I can’t register Express Scripts website because “they can’t find my records.” When I call them, they ask for my social insurance number?! What on earth do they want with that?! Then, to add insult to injury, their customer rep refuses to even look up my records and asks me to contact the benefits provider instead. So I call up Empire Life, and sure enough, they claim that my records are all there and Express Scripts has access to them. Yet Express Scripts still denies me service. Dealing with them has been incredibly exhausting, and left me hopeless. I’m stuck paying out of pocket for costly essential medications that should otherwise be covered by my group benefits plan, all because Express Scripts is so horribly disorganized so as to lose their client’s records. And to add insult to injury, refuse to help resolve the issue when contacted directly.
