Customer experiences

This is the second bad encounter that I have had with this branch employees and now the branch manager. I called about the status of my account and spoke with Josh who gave me incorrect information so I asked for a supervisor. Josh told me I need to be careful when talking to him as if that was a threat. Then I asked who he was talking to and he hung up in my face. I called the branch back and Drew supposedly the branch manager without asking me why I was upset or asking for a manager became combative with me. If a customer is upset you don’t go back and forth with them like these two did. I stated before and will state again this branch office is full of racist employees. I asked if there was someone I could speak with over Drew and I’m guessing he owns Great Lakes because I was told he was the highest for a complaint. I will be writing the CEO of this company this morning to see if this how they treat their customers with rudeness and disrespect. Not to mention hanging up on a customer who has been one for years. Drew was so rude he never asked what was the issue as if I was just upset to be upset. But here the employee is right and has permission to hang up on customers and threaten them UPDATE I went into the branch to see if there was someone over Drew and get their card The rep at the counter told me in a rude tone the manager was busy. As I was saying that the manager was stepping out to the counter and called the next person.I pointed it out I thought he was busy. The rep then turn to me face balled up he is busy helping a member I’m helping you. I had to point out to the rep if you had asked me instead of being rude you would’ve known I have been a member for 7 years. So if you are of color this is not the branch for you

I have been a member of this “credit union” for 28 years. I have to say that ever since they merged/bought Bell West credit union the service and lack of knowledgeable employees has waned away. Unless you are doing a routine transaction get ready to sit down in the waiting room while someone calls for help at another branch. I’m confident this is not the teller/employees’ fault. I’m sure it is directly related to their training which is the company’s fault. Furthermore, the absolute pile of vile and unwanted junk mail I receive from them just keeps growing. I personally use their unopened letters for bon fires in my backyard. The only thing is I have to invite people over monthly to enjoy these fires and it’s a lot to host monthly bon fires lemme tell ya. I’ve been contemplating writing this review for a while but the attached picture pushed me over the edge. Clearly they are selling members information to other companies for profit. I realized this after opening this somewhat threatening letter that I have a “final notice” to protect my loan. By the way, I will NEVER EVER get a loan from them again. I’ll go to a real bank. Really GLCU? Really? The poor employee training and virtual incompetence of your staff warrants you caving in. I’m sure it won’t be long. The writing is on the wall. My message to everyone, including the employees, is to get out while you can. The ship is not only sinking, it’s on fire and getting bombarded with cannon balls. (Like the ancient reference? I know I do.) I’m surprised you all aren’t tallying up your calculations with an abacus. Go away and stop sending me junk mail.

If there was an option for zero stars that’s what I would rate this Credit Union. I’m not sure what is worse, the lack of systems and processes or the lack of knowledge every employee has about the systems and processes. The time I have wasted working with this Credit Union is far too many hours to calculate. Stay far, far away.

Excellent service! The team is friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. The branch manager even came out and introduced himself and gave me his business card. If you want to feel valued, I highly recommend this credit union.

Great Lakes Credit Union is a credit union.
