In from NYC to visit a friend here and stumbled upon this little nugget! We had a service animal with us and decided to eat outside and were accommodated. Had certain choices made was steered another direction by our great waiter Sammie Hampton, III!!! I had the bar burger and my friend had the chicken salad. Mine was better I think although I didn’t actually taste hers. We had several great discussions with Sammie and his sidekick Max who did a great job as well for day two! Even with my friend getting locked in the bathroom for 20 minutes it has been one of the most enjoyable meals of the weekend! Thanks so much for the service and laughs!!😂

Absolutely excellent steaks. I have been enjoying Grand Street Cafe’s exceptional food and service for over 30 years now. Consistently exquisite offerings in a classy atmosphere. Located near the Plaza, it is easy to patronize and find.

The ambiance and aesthetics of the place were truly lovely, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. Our waitress and the manager were both incredibly pleasant and attentive once we were seated. However, our experience started with a bit of a wait at the check-in counter; it took at least five minutes before we were addressed, which was a little frustrating. For our meal, I initially ordered the pork chops, but unfortunately, they were very dry. I sent them back and opted for the braised ribs instead. While the flavor was promising, the ribs arrived cold in the center, which was quite disappointing. Despite these issues, we still paid for our meal and took the ribs to go. Given the price point, I had really expected perfection, so the overall experience left me feeling a bit let down.

This place is a wonderful combination of modern & contemporary but also casual. The service is special, very upscale in that department. The food was amazing and the portions were not so huge that you end up with leftovers for three! Lol
