Customer experiences
I have almost fall down from this (photo attached) and expressed my concern to put some label so people don’t do this maybe caucasian male manager I spoken forgot or didn’t care. This was very concerning and this could lead to serious injury especially elderly person. Person next to me experienced same with my situation, he said he also talk to the staff and was ignored. Safety should be number one priority for the gym but it seems like they don’t care. I have been member for long time and this gym has been changed so much. Some people are stupid enough to do what ever but if you do please return to original position so people don’t get injured. There should be staff checking these stuff too.
I’m deeply disappointed by my experience at Gold’s Gym. I’ve always gone there simply to work out, stay healthy, and support my community — but what I witnessed and experienced recently was unacceptable. A few days ago, I saw a larger male member harassing another gym-goer. He approached the person while he was doing cable flys, grabbed his waist, and made an inappropriate comment about his body position. It was disturbing and clearly made the person uncomfortable. I didn’t speak up that first time, but it stuck with me. Today, I saw the same man harassing the same person again — this time being verbally aggressive. I decided to step in and ask him to calm down. Instead, he turned his aggression toward me, yelling and telling me to “shut up.” When I tried to address the situation with the front desk staff, the receptionist’s response was unprofessional. She ignored the fact that a member was being harassed and instead smirked and accused me of swearing, which I did not. The manager then came and told me there had been “too many complaints” about me, which was shocking — I’m a quiet member who keeps to myself and trains respectfully. What happened next was even worse: the police were called, and the manager reportedly made a false statement about me that led to me being handcuffed and banned from the gym. Ironically, the same manager once told me that when I was assaulted at the gym previously, he “couldn’t call the cops.” There seems to be a serious issue of ongoing harassment, poor management, and lack of accountability at this location. I strongly urge the Gold’s Gym franchise owners and corporate team to investigate what’s happening at this gym and to take harassment and safety concerns seriously. Every member deserves a safe and respectful environment to train in.
The gym area is great—really well-equipped and clean. The wet sauna isn’t the best, but the women’s change room has two individual dry saunas, which I love. Unfortunately, one of them hasn’t been working for a while. I mentioned it to a staff member, but nothing’s been done yet. I’m a big fan of the sauna experience, so it’s a bit disappointing. Other than that, it’s a beautiful gym overall
Been with Golds Gym for 2 years and now getting my membership canceled is turning into a nightmare. They apparently have a hidden clause in the contract so they can squeeze out 2 more payments from you before you leave this dreadful place. The machines are ancient and broken and they never seem to have the AC on. Save your money and join anywhere else but definitely not this place.
Gold's Gym Langley is a gym.
