I go to Big Sky Fitness here in Calgary. As a blind person with mobility issues, I rely on my e-bike to get around, and the staff has been kind enough to make the gym even more accessible for me by allowing me to securely park my e-bike closer to the reception area. I’d like to thank Emilie and Leslie for helping me set up my e-bike for the first time—it was a great experience for me as someone with a visual impairment. The gym is always clean and provides wipes and spray to help everyone maintain hygiene. It’s open 24/7, so I can go whenever I need a break from studying, work or just want to get out of the house. The steam room and sauna are fantastic additions, and as a premium member, I also get fresh towels every visit. Plus, they have an InBody machine to help track progress and stay accountable to my goals. And I would say the best gym for access and accessibility for folks like with a physical disability.
This gym is a great place to workout at and it has some really nice equipment. The staff are super friendly and are always happy to help out members as well as visitors. One specific employee that I’ve noticed goes above and beyond is Adam. His consistent effort to make big sky a welcoming place doesn’t go unnoticed! I definitely recommend this gym to anyone considering getting a membership!
We just joined here and so far we’re super happy! The gym is gorgeous. I go at my own personal times so it’s never super busy when I go. Aside from all the equipment, I love that the classes they offer are very unique and boutique-style so it’s really the best of both worlds.
