Customer experiences
Visited waterloo recently and tried this noodle spot. The stir fried noodles were the best in town, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The BBQ lamb skewers were tender and really tasty. Worth a visit if you’re around.
Gol’s is where rich broths, fresh hand-pulled noodles, and smoky skewers meet casual comfort in Waterloo’s uni district. With a menu as long as your cravings, this spot delivers serious variety — and major flavour. The edamame with preserved veggies was a light, savoury start with a funky kick. Sweet & sour mini fries were crispy and coated in a tangy glaze — an unexpected highlight. Deep fried squid was golden and crunchy, with a tender center — the kind you can’t stop picking at. The BBQ potatoes were smoky, soft on the inside, and packed with spice, while the BBQ lamb skewers were juicy and flame-kissed with bold cumin heat. Moving to mains, the chicken chow mein was classic comfort — saucy noodles, stir-fried just right with veggies and tender chicken. But the stars of the show? The Lanzhou noodles. Whether you go for the traditional or turn up the heat with the spicy version, the broth is rich and full-bodied, and the noodles have that perfect hand-pulled chew. Absolute slurp goals. Great good and service. Brought here by a co-worker from Beijing, told me it is as authentic as it gets. Noodles hand made and made to order, you choose from 9 different sizes.
Relatively nice place to grab a meal. Staff is quite friendly and welcoming. As for the food, it’s pretty good! Tables are spaced away from one another which I appreciate.
Gol's Lanzhou Noodle is a chinese restaurant.
