Loved my stay there! But a few things I believe they can fix: the roof wooden structure had mould in it. The whole ceiling with wood design inside our room was mouldy with white stuff in it. Seems like it wasn’t polished or cleaned in a long time. Except this and construction and difficulty in finding the parking lot, I liked their service, place and ambience! It was difficult to find entrance from parking lot to our room as well lol. Regardless I liked the place! For the price I paid, I expected a bit more clean room especially the ceiling mould and dust. And better navigation throughout the place They were very accommodating to our requests and front desk night staff were kind and polite. The place gives good English cottage vibes!

I've been here twice. The first time with my husband before we married. It was such a cool vibe. I believe we were in the Shakespeare room. During the middle of the night we had a lot of supernatural occurrences. I didn't get much sleep with little goblins coming in and out of a window and a suit of armor with a purple feather on his helmet standing by the bed and taunting me! Other than that it was great!

5* for the first time only. In 1985, I spent my honeymoon here. The antique beds and furnishings, the atmosphere, the service were all exquisite! It was as though we really had stepped back into the 1500's. For an anniversary several years later, we returned and we were shocked and surprised to find all of the beautiful furnishings had been sold! The place had new owners. It has gone from a 5 star to a 3*! We were so disappointed, we spent 2 nights only and then went looking for an experience instead of just a room.
