Customer experiences
Stumbled upon Geppetto Trattoria, and I’m so glad I did. The porchetta e peperonata was absolutely outstanding — perfectly cooked pork with that crispy crackling, and the sweet, smoky peperonata balanced it beautifully. Classic, honest Italian cooking done right. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with that old-school trattoria charm, and the service was friendly without being overbearing. You can tell this place is run with heart. Great spot for a relaxed, satisfying meal before or after the footy or a concert at the ‘G. Highly recommend if you’re after real Italian food in Melbourne. Will definitely be back!
Why go to Italy 🇮🇹 when you have this gorgeous Trattoria to come … Food is delicious and service exquisite! Adriano, Nino and the whole team make you feel so welcomed and at home… genuine authentic hospitality, I can’t wait to return soon. Thank you for the yummiest pasta bolognaise!
It’s located on a quieter side of the street. However when you walk inside, it’s nice and cosy. I was served upon a little bite for starter and it was delicious. Tried seafood spaghetti and truffle mushroom risotto. I was really impressed by the portion and quality of the food. Beautifully seasoned and flavours are nicely balanced and complement well with each other. Of course al dente. Took away the tiramisu to try at home. It was a really nice classic tiramisu. Service was great! The waitress was really friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back for more!
Very disappointing food and service. We ordered 3 mains 1 entree and a dessert. The taste was mediocre and definitely not worth the money. For example, the agnolotti that we ordered only had four small pasta parcels and the price for the main was $43, which effectively means that each small parcel costs $10.75! The tiramisu was soggy and inedible and tasted far worse than the ones sold at Aldi. We took a bite and politely asked for the tiramisu to be returned. The staff took it away and didn't try to address the issue and we were still charged at the end. The staff didn't show the hospitality that we'd expect at a restaurant of this calibre which was disappointing. Definitely don't recommend this restaurant.
