I have been going to Spencer for haircuts, and they’re simply amazing! Spencer is incredibly skilled, pays attention to detail, and always ensures I leave feeling great about my haircut. The salon itself is cozy, inviting, and has such a friendly vibe - it makes the whole experience even better. The location in North Beach adds to the charm; it’s a lovely Italian neighborhood with fantastic food options and a beautiful park nearby, making it easy to turn a haircut into a relaxing outing. Highly recommend Spencer and this salon to anyone looking for quality cuts and a welcoming atmosphere!

I’ve been a loyal customer at Public Barber Salon for years. I’m almost always early for my appointments, yet they constantly make me wait — clearly, they don’t value their customers’ time. Ironically, the one time I was just 10 minutes late, they immediately canceled my appointment while I was still on my way. I called multiple times to let them know, and no one even answered. The message is clear: their time is invaluable, but yours means nothing. It’s disappointing to see how little they care about loyal clients. I won’t be coming back. Replying to the “Owner” Oh, it was 20 minutes now? That’s news to me — and to my call log, which shows I was 10 minutes late and calling repeatedly without an answer. I guess the irony here is rich: after all the times I’ve shown up early and happily waited while your schedule ran behind, it turns out I should’ve been treating your time the way you’ve treated mine all along. Lesson learned.

Lindsey is always amazing! She’s very attentive to what I ask for and never pushes to cut more length than I ask for which has been hard to find. She’s an amazing stylist!

It was my first time visiting Public Barber Salon and left extremely happy with the way my haircut turned out! My stylist was Leslie, and she did a phenomenal job :) I explained to her what I wanted and showed her some reference photos after getting my hair butchered 3x at a different salon, and she understood the assignment! She was very accommodating as well! Will definitely be returning in the future!
