Audrey BrooksI was referred to James Whelpley of Florida Solutions for insulating my Florida room through a Facebook post. Before James came out, I had already received a quote from another insulation company. They suggested insulating the Florida room and “topping off” the existing insulation to an R-38 rating, claiming it would save me 25% on my electric bill. When I brought this up to James, he was honest and told me that the “topping off” would likely only save me around $5 per month, not the 25% the other company claimed. He also explained that, as a small business, it wouldn’t be profitable for him to take on such a small job unless he charged more than he thought was fair.
