Customer experiences
Located in a very nice historical building in downtown Perth right? Overlooking Tay river, which is very nice. Lots of other businesses located inside that building amongst them, chocolate factory and otvery very interesting and nice historical building.. Parking available on a street and behind a building. Busy Place on weekend, however, no problem in finding a table . Service was fast and friendly.I would put it as six out of 5. Food arrived in a timely fashion. Soup was perfect. Main dish requires better presentation... Even a bit of parsley on top would do a trick... Just check my pictures. Location for this restaurant is probably one of the best in Perth and I have been in many restaurants in Perth. And reasonably priced menu. Overall I'll come back again if I can.
I have never been gaslighted as hard as this place. Here is the story: we ordered nachos. It had a funky smell. The tomatoes had gone rancid. We told our waitress that it had gone bad. She said “no, we always use fresh ingredients”, which was clearly not true because it looked like canned tomatoes. She took it back and came back and said, “The kitchen said it smells fine and that everything was fresh”. It literally smelled bad! We had to ultimately say, okay we don’t know what to say. We also ordered the chicken wings and the pierogis. The chicken wings are the smallest chicken wings in the world. The pierogis are terrible. It looks like it is made from a frozen bag. It is wrong to charge $17 for such terrible pierogis. Honestly, avoid this place unless you are here just for drinks. The burger is not bad either. Overall, not a great place to eat.
This is a fabulous place with a great ambiance. However, I am giving it just 4 stars instead of 5 because the portions are smallish. I ordered flank steak on my Caesar Salad it came with just a few small pieces less than the size of a playing card. However it was done to perfection. The food was tasty, fresh and a variety of ingredients. The beer was cold (locally brewed) and the experience was enjoyable except for the "where's the beef" initial feeling.
The location by the park and in Code’s Mill is unbeatable. Both their patio and restaurant seating has lovely views. The food is enjoyable, as well as the staff. Everyone seemed to have greeted people as they come through. They are very accommodating for families, couples, friends, and solo travellers. They seem to host lots of live music on busy town weekends too. Would definitely recommend if you are ever in or passing through Perth!
