I called ahead and asked if they do wash and sets. Norma confirmed and told me to come in. I arrived about 15 minutes later, only to be told she doesn’t do “African people’s hair.” I’m African American, and her wording was not only offensive but discriminatory. I reminded her that I called beforehand and she acknowledged the mistake but simply said, “Sorry,” as if my time and dignity didn’t matter. When I asked if she was licensed, she said yes—but professionalism should come with that license. Refusing service based on ethnicity or hair texture is unacceptable and needs to be addressed. Black women deserve better treatment and respect at any salon.

I come here for a hair cut and Norma she has an attitude, and very unprofessional! This is business and you are dealing with different kinds of people if you are not comfortable to serve everyone then you are at the wrong place. In business rule number one is to meet the demand of the customer. I don’t recommend any one here and I fill sorry.

Once I discovered this barbar shop I have been a regular,Norma knows exactly how I want my hair cut.Because of my grade of hair I haven't been able to get the proper cut I wanted at other minority barbers and I'm impressed that a female barbar with a friendly welcoming attitude and peaceful atmosphere which was convenient to my place of employment down the street at Indianapolis International Airport.

It’s the Dumpling

My previous rating was deleted . I wouldn’t recommend anyone to ever come here I asked for a silver gray ombre hair well she dyed my roots even when I stated I didn’t want my whole hair being silver gray . I didn’t mind paying the money I had to go 3 times since my hair was black but I wish she would of been honest with saying she didn’t know how to do what I was asking for . Safe to say I stopped coming in because she still wanted me to come back and my hair felt like an elastic. Legit an elastic I would brush my hair and it would bounce back up . And yes it was Norma who did my hair . Wish I could give it zero stars.
