Emily Farber is the kind of real estate agent you want in your corner. We learned of Emily over a year before we moved to the Iowa City area because we found her on YouTube ( @EmilyFarber). Her videos were instrumental in helping us learn that Iowa City was right for us and determining which neighborhoods suited us best. Once we were ready to buy, we called Emily on a Tuesday to see if we could see a newly listed house we thought might sell quickly. She kindly showed us the house that same evening as well as a comp. Then, by Thursday, we saw a third house, and we went under contract on it by Friday in a transaction that had a lot of quick deadlines. She never missed a beat and always kept our interests top of mind. But Emily's speedy and generous service didn't end there! She proactively reminded us of the next steps in the buying process so we never missed a deadline, recommended excellent tradespeople (e.g., home inspector, radon specialist, electrician), and made time for us to return to the house to consult with renovators before our closing. Emily is organized, efficient, well-connected, kind, and fun. As first time home buyers coming from the South she helped us understand what to look for in Iowa homes and helped us to be competitive in a market where houses were pending within a few hours.
