I started coming here when Holly first opened by herself. I had gotten balayage and it looked amazing. I decided to come back again awhile later, not as good but still happy with my results. She face framed my face so perfectly. She was my go to until I came back once more keep in mind i’m paying around 300 dollars for her services and to see 0 change after a balayage service was done, was frustrating, she took me back in and instead of fixing it she rushed through the whole process as now she was fixing her mistake for free, and left me with SKUNK highlights. I wore a hat for weeks on weeks to hide the embarrassment of what my head looked like. The busier the service got for her the less care she put into her clients. Even after this I came back for a hair cut and face framing 10 months later, MY MISTAKE. she cut my bangs uneven, one side is short and won’t tuck behind my ear while the other is long and will tuck. I’m in denial seeing how perfect her services were to how they are now. I’ve decided to not return to this salon again, and have felt the courage to right the review. My new hairdresser is in disbelief about how bad my hair looks.
I got a gel manicure by Jillian yesterday after she came highly recommended in a local community group. I literally cannot stop staring at my nails today, I absolutely love them!!!! Best manicure I've had in years, hands down. She worked meticulously making sure I was happy with every detail. I didn't get too adventurous with my colour/design this time, but she was showing me some of the samples she has been working on, and her nail art is stunning. I'm so excited to go back and have her do something more creative on my nails next time. Thanks so much Jillian!!!
Awesome salon & spa. I've received spectacular services from salon owner Holly and hair stylist Sheridan. Heather's body contouring has genuinely changed my life. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, but their customer service is unparalleled. I always leave feeling like a million bucks!
ALERT BEWARE!!!! Owner refuses to issue a refund after I was overcharged $100 because I am unable to return with my bank card! I see that I was overcharged an extra $100 so I call the salon and ask for it to be refunded. She wants me to come there to bring in my debit card. I asked her to find another way and she offers me a gift card for when I come back to her salon. I inform her that I do not have time to have to come back to her salon to get the money that she owes me as I am dealing with a family crisis. I also live out of the province! I ask her to send me a cheque in the mail and she refuses saying again that I need to come to her store the same way anyone going to Winners for a refund would need to do. I point out to her that I am not returning a purchase, I was overcharged and that wasn't my fault so she should be the one to come to me not the other way around. She continues to agrue so I told her I will be leaving her a bad review at which point she hung up on me. I have over 20 years experience in the spa industry. Our spa won an award and my testimonials are stunning. Every good business person knows the customer is always right. You never agrue with your customers. post script My name is not Christine! Your bright lights are not the issue, its the lack of soft light on the face that is the issue. You need to add soft lighting for the face so your clients don't have dark circles under their eyes and align your mirrors so the clients face is not on the edge of the frame. There is nothing wrong with keeping your client warm under a hair dyers rather than leaving them leaning back with their wet hair in the sink for 30 minutes without any comfort. The overcharge occured on Jan 27 and I contacted you about it on Jan 30. I don't know why you are saying it was over a week. Police have contacted me and told me that Holly is aleging that I am slandering her business, and sending her too many emails asking for my money back. Square confirmed that Holly has not conteacted them to ask for assistance in resolving the case number they created for my file. Holly says there is nothing she can do and I don't think she even tried to find out if it was possible to issue a refund with the last four digits of my card. Square website clearly states that if a card is declined the refund needs to be issued by cheque. She refuses to mail a cheque or send an e-transfer for the amount owing because she doesn't want to mess up the books for her bookkeeper. I have emailed her to ask her to send me the unused gift certificate in the mail as a last ditch compromise. I wouldn't want to send anyone else to this spa. She still hasn't replied. If my Mother came to the spa with her bank card Holly could at least refund her for hte gift certificate that she bought me for Christmas but Holly is completely unwilling to do any thing to resolve this problem and I will have to apply to small claims court to get my $100 back from her.
