This Corpus Christi CarMax is #1 in my book. I have now bought 5 cars from them and the most recent one is amazing The Grand Cherokee TrailHawk. They Sales team took good care of me, got me an awesome trade in value each and every single time and anytime I have had an issue the service Mgr Mr. Ray Cool is on top of it! Can’t really say any bad things about CarMax. I think everyone should consider them the next time shopping for some new wheels.

Purchased a Ford Focus Hatchback 2014 from this dealership in February 2024. Thought I was getting a decent car without really any issues. Boy was I wrong. I was not made aware of transmission issues with the vehicle. A few months later, in July, the transmission started having problems. Come to find out, in order to repair the car, it would cost $4,000. I don’t have that kind of money and this car was no longer under warranty. When looking at Kelly Bluebook, I found out the car isn’t even worth $4000 and it was sold to me at nearly $12,000. So unfortunately, I am having the car voluntarily repossessed, which is going to tank my credit score. There is absolutely no way the dealership did not know about this issue before selling it to me. It’s impossible that they did not know. They just failed to disclose it. From 2015 to around 2019, these vehicles were involved in a recall for the same exact issue. Unfortunately, since my car was a 2014, it was not included in the recall. I made a grave mistake purchasing a vehicle from CarMax. I will not make the same mistake twice.

My experience at CarMax was pleasant. From the time I submitted an offer online to sell my car to them placing a check in my hand was a satisfying experience. Every staff member that I spoke to on the phone or in person was very helpful and kind. Stress free environment and no pressure to buy. The team greets you with a warm welcome, than allows you to look at the inventory without them around. No need to ask for keys, all vehicles on the lot are unlocked. Easy access to allow you to look inside, under the hood, and the trunk space. I highly recommend CarMax.
