We were lucky enough to have a reso for lunch here just last week! From entering charming restaurant to leaving, the experience was wonderful. The hosts, and staff, and everyone else working there, were friendly and so welcoming. Our server was great and she gave us great suggestions! The espresso martinis were one of the best we had on the entire trip and the spicy rigatoni was worth the hype! Also, best bathrooms in the city, they aren’t just little holes in the wall! Overall I loved this place and we can’t wait to go back! Do yourself a favour and check it out!

During my recent trip to New York City, dining at Carbone was truly the highlight of my visit. I walked in at 5 o’clock without a reservation, fully expecting a long wait or possibly being turned away. However, the staff was incredibly accommodating, and I was fortunate enough to be seated at a table for two near the beverage station. While some might be particular about their seating, I actually loved my spot, it gave me a great view of the decorative table with candles and parmesan cheese wheel that made its way to the tables during dinner service. From the moment I arrived, Antonio and the rest of the team provided exceptional, personalized service. The attentiveness of the staff made the entire experience feel special, and I was never left waiting or wondering when the next course would arrive. Now, onto the food, the reason Carbone has such a legendary reputation. I ordered the famous Spicy Vodka Rigatoni pasta and the Ribeye Diana. Both dishes were nothing short of phenomenal. The pasta had the perfect balance of heat and creaminess, while the ribeye was cooked to perfection, bursting with rich, savory flavors. The temperature and seasoning of each dish were spot on, making every bite a delight. A memorable touch was the complimentary offerings. The pickled cauliflower, red onion, prosciutto, and bread service set the tone for what would be an unforgettable meal. It’s small details like these that elevate a dining experience from great to extraordinary. Carbone exceeded my expectations in every way, and I’ll absolutely be returning the next time I’m in NYC. Thank you to the entire team for an incredible meal and outstanding hospitality!

It took a couple a days a month ago to get this reservation! I was hoping to get it for Valentine’s Day but the only reservation available was 11pm dinner. Ha! I tried every day, when reservations opened and finally got one… and let me tell you, it was worth it! You do have to pay a fee/ deposit of $50/ person but it goes towards your bill. We arrived early and they sat us right away. We were welcomed with complimentary garlic bread, mozzarella, and salami. We came for the spicy rigatoni and it did not disappoint it! I wanted to swim in that sauce… and the lobster ravioli sauce! Both AMAZING!! We also got the Cesar salad - another great dish and the chicken scarpariello - yum! We also received rainbow cookies after our meals. We ended our lunch with cappuccinos which were also amazing! The whole experience was incredible. I think we’re going to make this a tradition and come back every year!

I had an amazing dining experience at Carbone in New York! From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. For my meal, I ordered the orecchiette with sausage and broccoli, which was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked pasta with a great balance of flavors. My friend went for the classic spicy rigatoni alla vodka, and it definitely lived up to the hype—creamy and flavorful. We started with the calamari as an appetizer, and they were some of the best I’ve had—crispy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. They also offered us an extra glass of red wine!! To end the meal on a sweet note, we shared a chocolate hazelnut cake, which was rich and indulgent, the perfect way to wrap up our dinner. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere is a bit smaller and tighter than I expected, but it adds to the cozy and intimate vibe. Despite Carbone’s reputation, we found the prices to be reasonable, definitely within the normal New York range. Overall, it was a fantastic experience—everything from the food to the service was top-notch. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Italian dining experience in NYC!
