EarthCruiser took our downpayment to build and EXP overland vehicle (vehicle#106), then pretended to go out of business, and then used our deposit to pay off their creditors. The company broke contact with us for 5 months after announcing that they were going out of business. After 5 months they finally contacted us saying that they weren’t in fact going out of business and offering to "complete the build" even though in the meantime we had purchased another vehicle thinking that they had gone out of business. We asked for our deposit back but they informed us that there are unidentified outstanding fiberglass contractor debts. But we know that this isn't true because the CEO of the company told us during the closure announcement telephone call in April that “no work had ever been done on EXP #106”. At the time of this “we are closing” phone call I had tried to buy the chassis, parts, and materials in order to complete the vehicle build myself. But I was told that there was nothing available to buy, and that no work had ever been started on #106). The company has refused to refund our deposit. We even offered to accept a payment plan for them to refund the money over time but they declined.

THIS COMPANY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY... They accepted deposits for vehicles then "went out of business" and used the money to pay debts instead of giving it back. No vehicle was ever built or delivered and they kept the deposit and never paid it back. Bad business practices and bad faith all around. They don't honor agreements and don't deserve your money. Be wise and take your business elsewhere.

We've owned our Earth Cruiser for a year during which we've put about 20,000 miles and 100+ nights on her. The workmanship, design and build quality of the cabin is superb. The team at Earth Cruiser (listed here as an RV Dealer but they are really a Manufacturer / Dealer) is friendly, knowledgeable and loves to talk about expeditionary vehicles.

I want to say I love my GZL 400. It has been a very gratifying purchase. It has elevated the joys we have always experienced outdoors. It makes life more comfortable and allows us to explore more places with its vast capabilities. Tons of storage and the cider and wine is always cold. (We don’t drink beer very often). Even makes ice cubes! Showering has also improved our hygiene while on the road. Everyone’s is grateful for that. The build quality is great and I am looking forward to having it for many years. We have had a wonderful experience with the crew at Earthcruiser. They have been nothing but professional and kind. Huge help getting acclimated to the full capabilities of my complex rig. They even took care of some warranty work that came up. I love supporting their business as they employ over 30 people building a product like no other. All right here at home (USA!). The hardest part of owning this vehicle is having to go home. Back to reality. Away from the serenity you find easily will on the road.
