I had good experience at first with my children’s dental care. The staff seemed experienced and, thanks to my Healthy Smiles Ontario coverage, I didn’t have to pay anything for my kids' treatments. However, when I went in for my own dental needs, I quickly realized the disparity. My insurance covers 100% of the costs, yet I ended up paying out of my pocket for my own procedure. I was surprised since I still had benefits available.🙄 The real trouble started when I visited the dentist for what I thought was a minor issue with one of my teeth. I requested a replacement for an existing filling, and the dentist not only agreed but also informed me that two additional fillings were broken and needed replacement. In hindsight, I regret deciding to proceed with those treatments. Since March, I’ve experienced persistent pain and heightened sensitivity whenever I consume hot or cold foods. Eating has become incredibly difficult, particularly on that side of my mouth. When I voiced my concerns about the discomfort I was experiencing after the procedures, the dental office offered me a complimentary follow-up visit. Unfortunately, this consultation didn’t address any of my issues. I felt like my time and energy were being wasted, so I decided to part ways with the practice. I've chosen to share my experience through reviews to warn potential patients about the challenges I faced.
