» Customer Experiences:
We recently visited Dirty Oar Public House in Innisfil, Ontario, and had an amazing experience. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, with accessible entrances, seating, and restrooms, making it comfortable for all guests. It’s also family-friendly, featuring a kids’ menu called “Little Oars,” and the casual, welcoming atmosphere is perfect for dining with children. The menu offers a variety of vegetarian options, such as the Veggie Burger and Grilled Veggie Wrap. Vegan-specific items aren’t explicitly listed, but many dishes can be adapted—just let the staff know about any dietary restrictions. Free parking is available in the underground lot behind the restaurant, and access is easy for all visitors. We tried a variety of dishes: Blue Moon beer, six shucked oysters, spicy bison, sausage rigatoni, jerk chicken, shrimp rigatoni, and Thai coconut curry chicken. Every dish was delicious, and the flavors were well balanced. The service was exceptional—our server, Mathew, really took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed, including the Wi-Fi (you just need to ask the server for the password). The whole vibe of the place was amazing, especially with evening fireworks that made the weekend feel special. The setting by the water adds to the relaxed yet lively atmosphere, and the menu has something for everyone, including vegetarian options and daily specials. One thing to note: the wait can be quite long, often 40 minutes to 1 hour, so it’s better to prep ahead of time or make a reservation if possible. Overall, Dirty Oar is a perfect spot for a fun weekend outing with friends or family. From the food and drinks to the attentive service and exciting weekend atmosphere, it’s a place we would definitely recommend visiting
10/10 experience. As a resident of 4.5 years at Friday Harbour, my bf and I were very impressed last-night after we decided to retry the Dirty Oar. They have stepped up their game. The menu has improved slightly as we noticed some new options (which we will be trying next time). We enjoyed the calamari, pizza, and even cheesecake for dessert and honestly, we were very satisfied. The customer service has also really improved. We weren’t rushed at all, and really enjoyed our time. A big shout out to our server Alex, who was super down to earth and caring- so rare these days. As a former server, it was great to see. Thanks for making our date night awesome. We look forward to creating more memories here! ~Joe & Liz.
We love the Dirty Oar! The menu has delicious options for all. Yesterday after the tree lighting we had an amazing experience. Our server Daniel was awesome! So helpful and funny ha! Our family had the Dirty Oar burger, wagyu burger, pizza, and I had the basil chicken penne (soo good). Always an enjoyable time.
