The brunch here on the weekend is worth the drive, and it's always fun to visit the village of Canning. Eggs benny with five different topping choices are a must try; I had my benny with the Atlantic cold smoked salmon. The base is two homemade tea biscuits and they are delish. The home fires are the real thing, cooked to perfection. My friend had the vegetarian eggs benny, which she had nothing but good things to say. The coffee is served in individual French presses, which is a nice touch. Totally enjoyed our meals and we will be back. The staff were friendly.

This was our second time and it was just as delightful as the first. The three of us started with the nachos, the mussels, and the caprese salad. Then, we each had the special seafood Po Boy Sandwich. The portions were ample and the food was delicious. Ben, our server, was great! Courteous, professional, attentive, and he had a great sense of humor. We'll be back. Very soon. August 30 update: We went back again today and the food was amazing! We started with the bulgogi nachos and scallops. Then we had the surf 'n turf special. All we're absolutely delicious. Chef Graeme popped out of the kitchen to say hi and have a chat. Our server Erin was a delight. Dickie-Baxter is a gem. I highly recommend it.

This is a restaurant that just keeps improving. Every time my family and I go, we have a better experience than the last. Last night Erin greeted us at the door, and recognized us as regulars. She brought us to a great table, was super upbeat, kind, and didn’t skip a beat. That kind of personal greeting and care really puts this restaurant a cut above most others in the Valley. Not to be outdone, the kitchen and bar absolutely knocked it out of the park, with one of the best meals I’ve had this year. The fresh vegetables, the seasonings, the presentation, it was all an absolute knockout. Thanks DB’s and thanks Erin. We’ll be back!

This was our first time to this restaurant. We had a fabulous time. The food was excellent. I had the steak that was done to perfection and my wife had the scallops. Our server Erin was wonderful. She was very helpful with things to do in the area. Also she was very attentive. I bugged Erin about buying a Pay Day cider glass and she went out of her way to phone the boss and ask. I'm now the proud owner of a glass. Thanks for everything Erin. What a wonderful experience. Definitely will return and we highly recommend this restaurant.
