I’m not sure (as of march 2025) if the school is even operational, but the musallah itself is amazing. The people are welcoming and Imam Idris sahib is always leading salah in the regular days. For Ramadan, Hafiz Ilyas (originally led at ICCD) leads a 29 day taraweeh and there are even 2 student taraweehs going on upstairs. In Ramadan, Iftar is provided every day and there is also chai downstairs for the taraweeh-goers. Every night there is also a tafsir and in my personal opinion, the masjid facilities are well kept. One suggestion I wish the management of the masjid would take is to entirely separate theirselves from the school now that it is non-operational. It puts a bad light on the actual masjid and that too while not even existing. Other than that, overall, Alhamdulillah, it is a gem for those who live in the Downtown Des Plaines area and I pray Allah (SWT) makes it easy to maintain and operate the masjid and clear up its reputation.

This is a great Mosque to perform your daily five prayers. Very clean and well taken care of it. Keep it up! I’ve heard it’s under new management, which has nothing to do with a school. The school is not functioning as far as I know.
