I decided to put my condo in Dorchester on the market in the fall of 2024 with the hope of buying a new place with the proceeds. Dana was recommended to me by a mutual friend who was also an agent. Often, that's how it goes - you ask someone if they know a "good" agent, and then you trust their judgement. I can safely say that not only is Dana good, she's probably one of the best around. Friendly, punctual, organized, responsive... she has everything you would want in a professional facilitating what is likely the largest financial transaction you're ever going to be a party to. It's her instincts and experience where Dana really shines. She knows the Boston area market so well, with all of its quirks and foibles. Her advice on every aspect of the process was always spot on. She got me the number I wanted out of my first place, and into the perfect new condo (with all the amenities I wanted) within the budget I was comfortable with. Trying to buy real estate is a grueling process... and I'd probably still be looking were it not for Dana.

We have had the pleasure of working with Dana Schaefer twice - once 7 years ago to buy our first house, and then again last summer to buy/sell due to our expanding family. We loved our first house, and we love our new house even more. There are so many quirks and idiosyncrasies to buying a home in Massachusetts in the current market, and Dana's guidance was invaluable. She is knowledgeable in many areas: neighborhoods, contractors, design, and of course the buying/selling process. She is very hands-on, always ready to touch base via text, phone, video chat, or in person. While selling our house, she handled all of our open houses and private showings.
