Do NOT go here to get your hair coloured. Absolutely botched my “highlights”. I reached out to the owner Erin after my service via email with photos and my concerns and she stated: “We both agree that your highlights need to be retoned and a slight adjustment needs to be made to the demarcation line in the one photo you provided” This response was absolutely insulting. No ownership over the terrible job that was done, no apology or remorse. She offered two options. Returning to the same stylist to make the colour adjustments free of charge. (Why would I trust her to “fix it” if she couldn’t even do what I asked for in the first place?) OR A partial refund of $85+ tax The cut and colour service that I paid for was $400 + tax. This will cost upwards of $500 or more to get my hair colour corrected at another salon to get even close to what I showed her pictures of and asked for at the beginning of my appointment. I opted for the refund to at least be able to put some money towards the colour correction that was needed and received it from the owner. Do NOT go here for any blonde colouring service. So much regret, absolutely awful! Last photo is what I asked for based on a picture of my own hair a few years ago!

Recently had a Curl Transformation haircut done with Amy and it was an incredible experience. It was my first time getting a professional hair cut of any kind, so I was incredibly nervous going in, but right from start to finish Amy was extremely friendly and professional and really made me feel at ease. She is also extremely knowledgeable and took the time to go over the products she was using in depth and what they did as well as how to style my hair to get the most out of it! I was struggling with my curly hair so much before the hair cut and would always end up straightening it or putting it up in a pony tail because I felt like I could never get it to look good. Now I feel like I've found a new love for my hair and find that it always looks good, even on day 3 or 4 with minimal refreshing required! I am so grateful for Amy really working with me and taking the time to make recommendations and thoroughly explain everything. Although they are pricer than the drug store, I absolutely LOVE the Innersense products and feel like they are definitely worth the price especially with how little you need to use per wash. Amy was also wonderful about not pushing the products onto me. I just ended up being sold on them once I saw the results they produced after one use and seeing how a small amount of it goes a long way! I truly feel like I have so much confidence now and cannot wait for my next visit to the salon! The rest of the staff there are also super friendly and helpful! Thank you so much again to Amy and the rest of the crew for making my first hair cut such a wonderful and memorable experience 😊! You have a regular client in me for as long as I live in K-W! I had a great appointment with Emma at Curves! The experience was amazing. I booked a colour and curl transformation, and Emma took the time to explain everything she was doing and the products she was using to get the best curl formation possible. I really appreciated her care and attention throughout the process. My curls really formed! This kind of appointment will be more of a treat for me, as the price for a colour and cut is definitely on the expensive side compared to your average hairstylist. However, I understand that Curves is a curly hair specialist, and the level of expertise and tailored care shows. I still 100% recommend going—if it’s within your budget—because the results and experience are worth it.

Syllk was very professional and skilled in cutting/managing curly hair. She gave me great advice on how to take care of my curls moving forward. I am very happy with the results. The service is also chef’s kiss: lattes and snacks during your service. I’ll definitely be back!
