I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Samuel, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts. My interaction with him during my child’s dental surgery left me quite disheartened. Firstly, the coordination between Dr. Samuel and Safari for the dental procedure was not the issue. What troubled me was Dr. Samuel’s demeanor and behavior during the process. When I had questions about the anesthesia and during the moments leading up to my child being put to sleep, Dr. Samuel displayed a level of condescension and disrespect that I found deeply unsettling. At one point, I was simply holding my phone in my hand, and he abruptly instructed me to put it away, insinuating that I was recording. Let me clarify that if I were to record anything, it would be focused on my child’s well-being, not Dr. Samuel himself. The experience of witnessing my child’s anxiety before surgery is already immensely challenging for any parent. Dr. Samuel’s accusations and condescending tone only added unnecessary stress to an already tense situation. As a healthcare professional serving a diverse clientele, one would expect a level of respect and understanding for different perspectives and questions. Basic human decency, especially for someone representing the medical profession, should preclude the intimidation of patients and their parents. Dr. Samuel’s conduct has undeniably marred what should have been a straightforward procedure. It’s my belief that when parents are calm and assured, their children are as well. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Samuel fell far short of these expectations. I am genuinely disappointed and hope that future patients have a more respectful and compassionate experience.

I wanted to thank all involved in my daughter’s treatment today. The compassion, respect and care was outstanding. We couldn’t be more pleased and now feel comfortable if we ever need sleep dentistry for her again! Many thanks to all staff!
