hotel was great balcony was open and screened in. was very hot in there. temps in room won’t go lower than 68°. refrigerator doesn’t have freezer area. restaurant is$$ campground can get loud. lots to do here though!

We rented a villa.. quite expensive at $400 on a Tuesday. Check in was at precisely 3 not a minute sooner. Told pool closed at 6! And didn't reopen till 11 next day. How convenient right at check out time! Kids wanted the blowup so I went to pay $12 for an hr and the last hr was from 330-430 and they had to be there at 315. Some hustling was involved. The villa was beautiful and new but the flies were terrible. Had I have known I'd pack flyswatter. The villas only had toiletries microwave and coffee maker. Nothing else. Spiral staircase was only attached at floor and was very wobbly. We probably won't go back.

Came to Offshore after being turned away at Coconut Cove and we were very happy to come here instead. Staff was friendly - especially the ladies at the front desk of the clubhouse and the sweet lady who works the snack stand! Prices are great compared to CC ($20/pp on weekend). Weekday prices ($7.50) are even better if traveling on a Tue, Wed, Thur. Thank you so much for offering an affordable option -- especially as every other place has increased prices astronomically. We were able to swim, drink, and get lunch for our family under $100. At Coconut Cove, that same $100 would have barely covered our admission... I also thought that the shirts, hoodies, and swim wear for sale were reasonably priced! Only one negative - we called the clubhouse for about 20 minutes straight with no answer. Eventually, we spoke to the hotel receptionist for information about the pool and lake, which she tried her very best to get information for us. We just wanted to ensure you were not at full capacity so we did not drive all the way down from Dubuque to be turned away. For now on will be going here rather than across the river to Coconut Cove! We selected the Off Shore Resort in Bellvue Iowa the week before Labor Day for an overnight get away for my husband & I. We were excited to relax at the outside water & bar who's website raged about its waterpark atmosphere. We were told when we checked in that all things outdoors were closed due to staff shortages. Very disappointed because their website did not mention that all outdoor amenities were closed when we booked & we had to pay the full price before we arrived with no refund option. Our first room had a broken AC & a buzzing from the patio door that would not stop buzzing. The clerk did arrange for us to move to another room. The bartender in the restaurant/bar was absolutely the best and we did enjoy our time in there. Did think the food prices at the resort were inflated so we chose to eat at the River Ridge Brewery in Bellvue! This cute establishment did not disappoint. Their homemade flatbread pizzas were incredible and had a fair price point. Staff was friendly & very accommodating! Overall if a business sells themselves as a resort atmosphere than they need to be just that. For the rate we paid for one night at the so called resort, I could have stayed somewhere else for much less.
