Yesterday I had my teeth cleaned by Luis Marquez. He has been my hygienist for the better part of a year and yesterday’s visit was comparable to my other visits with Luis. He is consistently highly competent. He’s also personable and invites questions and the expression of concerns. Not only does he monitor the state of my oral health but he also educated me about what he’s doing, why he’s doing it, and how I can partner with him to maintain optimal oral health.

Before each appointment they give me a printed outline of how much they charge for each service, how much my insurance covers, and how much I will pay. I’ve never experienced this level of clarity in any health care setting before and it’s so refreshing!

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Office lied to me about accepting my insurance to persuade me to open a $5k line of credit. It's been 9 months of me trying to dispute this claim and the dentist refused to reverse charges for work that was never even started let alone completed. To clarify the timeline of events: On June 16, 2024, I visited your office for a consultation regarding dental work on two teeth. Before scheduling the appointment, I specifically asked your receptionist if your office accepts Emblem Health insurance. I was informed that your office does, which later proved to be incorrect. During the visit, I paid $135 for x-rays using my personal credit card. Following the consultation, I was informed that the total cost of the required procedures (crown replacement, onlay, and mouth guard) would be $6,000, with only $1,000 covered by my insurance. Your office then offered me a promotional credit card to finance the remaining $5,000. On June 17, 2024, after consulting directly with my insurance provider, I confirmed they had not received any request from your office regarding my visit and that your office is out-of-network. I immediately contacted the credit card company to close the account and reverse any charges. I also contacted your office on the same day and spoke with Paola to cancel all future appointments due to the misrepresentation of your staff regarding my insurance coverage. It is worth noting that only 24 hours elapsed between my consultation and cancellation, which provided your office with ample time to halt any pending orders or charges to the credit account. Any failure to do so constitutes negligence on your part. Furthermore, the only service provided to me was a temporary solution, which failed within three hours on the same day. No additional work was performed. The credit card (Synchrony bank) can only reopen the dispute but until the office reverse the charges they're keeping me on the hook. I'm now forced to take legal actions.
