We’ve used Tekzys and Elston Garrison since 2021 for managed IT services in our two businesses: a 50-person company in Salt Lake City and a 10-person company in Dallas. In that time, he’s far exceeded our expectations and moved the relationship from that of a key vendor to one of a trusted advisor. Let me explain by sharing a partial list of the services and projects we’ve entrusted to him and that he’s flawlessly executed. Services 1. Complete, outsourced, and remote IT management. We have no one on staff in Dallas, and one person in SLC who works at Tekzys’ direction. 2. Desktop support with a ticketing system. 3. Cybersecurity and penetration testing. 4. Compliance specific to our regulated industry. 5. Staff training on cybersecurity, compliance, and general education. Projects 1. Implemented Microsoft 365 for collaboration and document management. 2. Migrated our old, on-premise servers to a cloud-based system thereby eliminating other vendors. 3. Replaced our multiple VoIP phone systems with a new, more robust system, that saved use about $2,500 per month. 4. Dataverse application development of a custom solution that integrates with two other applications we use. This alone will save us $150,000-$200,000 per year. Elston has been a dream to work with. He’s accessible, accountable, and enthusiastic. I highly recommend Tekzys and Elston for companies that (1) struggle or spend too much time dealing with technology instead of focusing on the business itself; (2) are growing and cannot keep or find quality people to manage IT inhouse; or (3) who want to leverage technology to accelerate growth but cannot chart a course without help.
