My wife and I are from West Coast Canada and stumbled upon this quaint little shop quite by accident. We were just entering Byward market area and there was a chime as we were walking past this store. My wife looked and there on the street display was the most amazing looking robe, my wife says cardigan. We were late for another engagement but we were determined to come back. We concluded our other bussiness and did come back to this little shop, located just as you enter Byward near the Ottawa sign, and was met by Mandy and, I'm sorry I don't have the other person's name. When my wife related the story Mandy told us she doesn't have a chime on the door. We later discovered it was an echo of a city bus chime that drew our attention to the clothing. This was fitting as Mandy's family is a multigenerational owner in Byward market. As we shopped and chatted I noticed news articles and photos. Photos of Mandy the shop owner as a child already with more fashion sense as anyone I've known. They both new exactly what my wife was looking for. They took time to chat, visit, and get to know us a little and we them. Honestly it was like stepping back into an Era where people took time to be people, not just customers and staff. Mandy Thank you for such a lovely afternoon and our newlywed son and daughter love their plaid shirts, that we also bought.

Ive been following Mandy on social media for a few months and was so excited to visit her shop on a recent visit. She is so warm and friendly, helpful and honest. She carries so many wonderful clothes and accessories that you won't find anywhere else. My only regret is that I don't live in Ottawa.
