Customer experiences
Elmer’s Kitchen is our go-to brunch spot after a good hike. We always order the omelettes with a side of buttermilk pancakes, an Elmer’s Kitchen has become our favorite stop for brunch, especially after a good hike. There’s something about walking into a welcoming spot where you know exactly what you’re going to order and that it will always hit the spot. For us, it’s the omelettes paired with their classic buttermilk pancakes — and it’s honestly the perfect combination. The omelettes are generously filled, fluffy, and made just right, while the buttermilk pancakes are soft, golden, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. They have that homemade feel that makes you want to slow down and savor every bite. Together, they make the ideal post-hike meal — hearty enough to satisfy your hunger, yet still comforting and cozy. What makes Elmer’s Kitchen stand out is not only the food but the consistency and the welcoming vibe. Every time we come in, it feels like a reliable tradition: great service, a relaxed atmosphere, and food that never disappoints. It’s the kind of place where you can linger over coffee, recharge, and truly enjoy the moment. If you’re looking for a brunch spot that’s both delicious and dependable, Elmer’s Kitchen is an easy recommendation. Whether you’re stopping in after an outdoor adventure or just looking for a comforting meal, it’s a place that leaves you satisfied and eager to come back.
First time at Elmer's yesterday. We went in at 12:15pm and there was no waiting time. This place is spacious and looked clean for second, but our table had a big greasy spot. Whoever cleaned the table didn't do it well. There was also a little bit of food debris on the floor. I did not spot any flies though. Our server was a young lady with blond hair named Alana I believe. The other servers looked tired, but she was very friendly and was smiling the whole time. She was even humming while she was walking back and forth. I ordered the German pancake combo, which was good. I've never had a German pancake before. It was more like a crepe. I liked how it wasn't too sweet. It was nice that the plate was warm as well. What we didn't expect was we were able to pay by QR code. Awesomeness.
I usually love going to Elmer's. It is clean and has good service. The make very nice Dutch apple pancake. Preferred their basic lemon Dutch pancake to the strawberry on their menu. My husband likes their egg benedict.
I ordered the chicken fried steak bowl. The chicken and breading were flavorful and crispy, and the gravy was creamy and tasty. I do wish it had a bit more seasoning overall. The hash browns were hit or miss—one part was perfectly crispy and well-cooked, while the other part was undercooked and mushy. They were also placed upside down in the bowl, which meant all the melted cheese and most of the vegetables ended up at the bottom. Personally, I prefer the cheese on top so I can enjoy it with the chicken.
