For a medical centre that is understaffed and probably underpaid, I can't fault any of the experiences I have had personally or with my daughter or partner. It can be a bit tricky to get an appointment but if you jump on early normally sorted. The poor staff probably get so many time wasters, deserve praise for that alone.

I am shocked to hear such negative reviews and feel it my duty to put my view forward. I have only been with the practice a few months but I am so pleased with the treatment I have received. From the reception staff who are extremely helpful and the doctors. I needed some medication just before Christmas and when the doctor phoned me he had already ensured my chosen chemist had the prescription. I booked my next prescription on line and collected it from the chemist the same day. I left my previous surgery as I did not like the way they worked. I was recommended Bradshaw Street by numerous people and am so glad they accepted me as their patient. Updated 23rd September 2024 I’ve been with this surgery about 3 years now and I am still very, very happy with this practice. Polite staff and superb doctors with excellent professional manner. Just looked at my blood tests online and they are so easy to read now. Thank you again.

What ever happened to Doctor patient confidentiality? I came to pick a form up for my mother. Whilst I was stood waiting for my turn I could not believe how someone trying to make an appointment for their child was being treated. They tried to make an appointment but the receptionist constantly asked why did their child need an appointment. Because the patient struggled with communication they then had to ring a family member to explain why their child needed an appointment. The receptionist then decided to put the call on loud speaker. So yes I heard the conversation and also the 2 other patients sat in the waiting room heard the conversation. None of us needed to hear that conversation it should of been strictly between Doctor and Patient. Why receptionist think its right to ask why you need an appointment is beyond me. Its none of your business. That's between patient and Doctor. I felt so sorry for this person. I had been with this practice for 36 years. 3 month ago I left with my 2 children and registered somewhere else. Best decision I have ever made. I can not believe the difference in care and respect. This practice used to be one of the best, now its very poor. It needs some massive improvements. Thanks for the reply, yes I left 3 months prior to the review I left. I still have to come into this practice due to my mother being a patient and I'm her carer. I left the review the day after this incident.

My annual routine blood tests came through and I received a phone call from the receptionist yesterday to say the nurse wanted to speak to me. Only available appointment was in April. OK thank you. Well could not stop worrying about it and going on holiday with this on mind. So I phoned the surgery today and asked if they could fit me in sooner. And the nurse got back to me 90 minutes later. Absolute brilliant service and cannot fault Bradshaw Medical Centre. Thank you Angela for phoning me today i was so happy. I know you are all so overstretched so I fully appreciate your time. Thank you so much. Monica Taberner
