My name is Sahil Dumbre , I am about to complete my Master’s in Supply Chain at the University of Birmingham, and I truly feel grateful for this journey. One of the greatest strengths of this program has been the professors who guided us with such passion and dedication – Taab, Ahmed, and Aamir. Each of them brought something unique to the classroom. Taab always had a way of making even the most difficult or monotonous topics engaging through creative activities that kept us motivated. Ahmed’s classes were consistently interactive, encouraging discussions and making sure every student felt involved and understood the concepts clearly. Aamir added so much value with his thought-provoking discussions and real-world insights, which inspired us to think beyond the textbooks. Because of their efforts, studying never felt overwhelming. Instead, it has been an enjoyable and enriching experience where I’ve learned, grown, and felt supported every step of the way. Their teaching has not only strengthened my knowledge of supply chain management but has also shaped my confidence and perspective as I move toward the next stage of my career. I sincerely thank the University of Birmingham for providing us with such amazing professors who truly care about their students’ learning and success. This program has been one of the most rewarding parts of my life, and I feel proud to be a part of it.

We are really thankful to have met Ms Rachel Guerreiro, if it was not for her our daughter’s admission process would have been a difficult experience. From the initial contact with regards to admission deadlines up to the day we arrived at the Campus. She’s been truly amazing, incredibly diligent in communicating, assisting us in getting prompt feedback from other departments. We are really grateful for your excellent service and going an extra mile and beyond!!!

The university itself is good, however the admin is a headache. There’s only one person that responds to all emails, which means higher waiting times for responses. If this admin issue is fixed, it’s quite a nice university.

I rarely leave reviews, but after my experience with the University of Birmingham, I feel it’s my responsibility to warn prospective students. This university paints a picture of excellence and opportunity, but what you get in return is far from what they promise. It’s a textbook example of misleading marketing and empty commitments. From the beginning, they set extremely high expectations, promising practical exposure, industry connections, and internship support. But once you’ve paid the fees and committed, the reality sets in—they offer you nothing concrete. Their so-called ā€œinternship supportā€ is nothing more than a few generic briefings or links that anyone can find on Google. There’s no proper placement help, no real guidance, and certainly no personal mentorship. You are left on your own, even after spending lakhs in tuition fees. What’s worse is the absolutely unprofessional Accounts Department. I faced a shocking situation where they demanded fees twice for the same term and refused to acknowledge their mistake for weeks. You have to chase them endlessly, and even then, the responses are vague and unhelpful. For an institution that claims to have world-class management, this level of incompetence is appalling. They talk a lot about ā€œstudent supportā€ but in practice, you’ll find yourself stuck in long email chains, ignored queries, and robotic responses. Nothing here feels student-centric. Once they get your money, your concerns are just another ticket number in their system. Honestly, it feels like the entire system is designed to trap students with false promises—no proper job prospects, no structured industry exposure, and terrible internal administration. It’s not just a disappointment—it’s borderline unethical. If you’re considering higher education here, please think twice. Don’t fall for the glossy brochures and marketing language. Ask to speak with actual current students (not the ones they pick for PR), and do a reality check. The reputation may sound great on paper, but the student experience is hollow and frustrating. In short: It’s all fake. Internships, support, placements—nothing actually happens. Just empty talks and money-making.
