I started working with Celina a couple of months ago to address my 1.5-year-old Chihuahua, Queenie's, reactivity issues. When Queenie was a puppy, I followed advice from other trainers to socialize her as much as possible. However, I didn’t realize that I wasn’t giving her the chance to advocate for herself or communicate when she felt uncomfortable or didn’t want to be touched. As a result, Queenie developed reactivity toward people and dogs as a defense mechanism. Celina helped me understand the importance of giving Queenie some agency and taught me how to create an environment where she could communicate her needs and trust me to protect her. She provided a tailored training plan and a set of tools to help Queenie build confidence and feel less fearful. Since working with Celina, I’ve already noticed significant improvements during our walks. Queenie is more at ease, and I feel much more in control and motivated throughout her training process.
