I started learning guitar a bit later in life. I turned 40 this year and was a bit nervous about it. But Rick has been a great teacher. He goes well above and beyond anything I expected. He really knows the exact level of challenge to send me home with.

I’ve learned so much taking acoustic guitar lessons with Rick. I’ve made so much more progress in the past year of lessons than my previous years of playing combined. Rick opened up my favourite songs to me by writing them out so we could work on them in lessons. This personalized teaching was much more motivating and enjoyable than following any standard lesson plan or assigning exercises, so my playing progressed much more quickly.

Highly recommend taking classes with Rick. I started taking classes to fix and improve my bass playing skills after self-teaching for a bit. I improved so much in my time with the lessons. Rick makes sure you get everything correctly and would even answer my seemingly silliest questions to make sure I understand everything. He is very patient kind and wise. 10/10!!

I highly recommend this school. My son started at 10 and learned at a really fast rate. He started with classic guitar and changed to electric, now he is wailing! High quality of instruction, friendly staff, competitive prices and reliable communication with both owner and instructor. Can’t say enough positive things about this place.
