I arrived 30 minutes early because I had questions. Shanica was so sweet soft spoken and patient with me. She answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable. Athena was also very pleasant when she came in we had a quick laugh before everything got started. I’m afraid of the dentist for my own personal reasons and I finally found a place I feel comfortable. Thank you ladies!!!

I believe people who gave this dentist five stars were just paid off. The dentist himself was very very rude and rough with my mouth. He shot my gums up numbing so harshly and fast with no care. Later I could still feel the drilling and when I mentioned it he had an attitude and numbed me again with pink paste and left me sitting there for a very long while. I will never forget this place because I never want to go back.

If I could give a Zero stars I would Mr James Orrington MD is the Father of the owner and you need to retire this man TERRIBLE SERVICE I came in because I had a cavity that needed to be cleaned and filled. When Mr. James Orrington came in, he did not explain to me anything that was going on with my tooth. Aside from confirming that it was a cavity that needed to be cleaned and filled. The dental cleaning that they do was terrible. There was no water use to properly clean the teeth. When it comes to getting the plaque out, all they did was dip. A dry toothbrush into some toothpaste and put it on my teeth. And then just swirl it around a little bit, no water. The only time that I got some water was to rinse out my mouth IN A SINK! but it was not used throughout the cleaning of my teeth terrible. After everything was said and done I went home and my tooth, I noticed was shave down a lot more than the other teeth around it now. Because he didn't explain anything that was going on with my tooth that raised nothing but concern for me as as the client so that following week, I came back and let this man know How I felt about the service that was provided. I brought my mother with me because something in my soul was telling me to bring someone else as a witness. When I confronted this man about what was going on with my tooth, and I wanted him to explain why he shaved it down so much. His response was to say, because I wanted to Not because it was the best option for me granted. I did not know my options beforehand but because he thought it was best without explaining. I had to poke in prod, asking multiple questions just to find out what was the reasoning behind it? What was going on with my tooth for him to have to do that. He then at that point told me that that was a baby tooth which I did not know prior I don't know how to read dental x-rays and he said he did it because of that reason it being a baby tooth. So I'm like, okay, I understand but why wasn't this told to me before doing anything, Here's an example of how the interaction went, you know, when a person is wrong or like when a child knows that they did something wrong, they'll try to talk over you, minimize what you're saying, and minimize what you're feeling because they want to be perceived as the professional or that they're right. In turn, when he started to walk away. He even said that my teeth are not perfect anyway, so blatantly insulted me and I have a witness which is my mother of him saying that. So I did not raise my voice at him. I kept it strictly professional, and I let him know that I was gonna report him and the dental firm to my insurance provider, I did this on the 27th of January. Crazy thing is, 2 days later, the dental office called me and asked if I could come in so that he now could give me my options on what I could do with my tooth and with coming in. Of course, he tried to explain his case again, which that didn't matter. I'm looking for my options. He said that I can keep the tooth as it is or I could get the tooth removed and keep it like that or I can get the tooth removed and get braces. Those are the only options that he gave me. And then he said, I can go somewhere else to get a second opinion, which is what I did now today Being the 5th of February I went in there and I asked for my dental records so that I can give it to my new dentist. Now that dental firm is telling me that I can't get it. Emailed, they can only do paper copies. So I'm like, okay, let me see your privacy practice. Their privacy practice says in there that I can get something other than a photocopy of my information. So the lady that was telling me that she could only print it out. She lied to my face because even in the paperwork that they provide puts it out there that I can get it in multiple forms, not just photocopies, so if you're thinking about coming to this dentist office refucking, consider, don't give them any of your money. I support black owned businesses, but I will not support black owned businesses that give shitty service. Nothing but trouble!!
