Our condominium association has been very pleased with Peacock Properties as our managing company. The quick response time to emails or phone calls is especially appreciated. Our manager is really good at getting back to us with answers or, if necessary, connecting us with others at Peacock who can best handle particular problems. At this time of year when a new budget has to be created for the upcoming fiscal year and preparations for a yearly meeting have to be set up, Peacock’s efficiency is particularly necessary and they have not disappointed us in that regard.
A few months back, I shared a review about my experience with Peacock Properties, but I ultimately decided to take it down due to their legal threats. I am currently being sued by peacock properties for $100,000 for my review. Although my comments were truthful, I felt it was best to avoid any unnecessary complications. However, I believe it’s essential for potential clients to be aware of my experience. Peacock Properties has proven to be one of the most disappointing companies I’ve ever worked with. Their communication was not great. I often found myself waiting indefinitely for phone calls that never came. Vendors had the same issues. To make matters worse, they distributed an incorrect set of rules and regulations that claimed I couldn't run a business from my commercial space. Additionally, they failed to inform the board that someone had neglected to pay the HOA fees for nearly two years. The cherry on top was their mishandling of the elevator inspection, which ended up costing us thousands of dollars and left us without elevator access for weeks. I could share many more frustrations, but I’ll keep it brief. I strongly encourage anyone considering working with Peacock Properties to take a look at the reviews on Yelp and the BBB. Based on my experience, it’s clear this is not a company you want to partner with.
Peacock managed 6 multifamily units for us for several years. Service in the beginning was fine but then they merged with a larger property management company and everything went off the rails as they grew exponentially. Follow up on repairs and maintenance requests was not timely, communication was often unprofessional. Duplicate 'tickets' were often created for the same issue. Issues as simple as a broken microwave went on for many months resulting in very unhappy tenants. Most importantly Peacock's charges for repairs were not reasonable when compared to competing property management companies, charging a % of all vendors charges plus a fee to attend the property for any reason plus a gas charge! You could'nt make this stuff up! Their 'add-on fees' cost me many thousands and thousands of dollars. Upon leaving Peacock I continued to receive all sorts of vendor invoices directly that were over 6 months old. Plumbers, painters, you name it. It's testament to how disorganised Peacock are. I have a long list of grievances but will leave it at this. As a small landlord I advise to avoid peacock properties, they do not have your interests at heart.
Peacock Property Management has been incredibly transparent, highly knowledgeable, and always quick to respond to our questions and concerns. Their support has been invaluable as we navigate our new roles as trustees, and I can confidently say they are an excellent management team. I sincerely appreciate their guidance and professionalism and highly recommend them! It's also important to understand that a management company like Peacock operates based on the direction of the trustees. Their responsiveness and involvement reflect the instructions they receive—so if a board isn’t proactive, it may not be a fair reflection of Peacock’s capabilities. From my experience, they have been nothing but supportive, responsive, and genuinely helpful every step of the way. I previously left a negative review during a transitional period for our condo association. However, after working closely with Peacock Property Management, I now realize that my initial impression was incorrect. Mistakes happen, but what truly matters is recognizing great service when you see it—and they absolutely deserve five stars!
